Auslan Introduction

This concise program highlights the pivotal role of workplace communication skills. No formal prerequisites are needed, and upon finishing, students can advance to our Intermediate level Auslan course. Participants gain both theoretical and hands-on expertise in effective communication with Deaf or hard of hearing individuals. Our curriculum covers essential aspects of Auslan such as self-introduction, providing directions, and interpreting body language, enabling seamless interactions with peers and colleagues.

Government funding is available to participants who are completing a Certificate / Diploma level course and who meet eligibility criteria.

Our courses are open to everyone. It is not necessary to be a Monash student or staff member. Some age restrictions may apply to some courses and we encourage those with disabilities to enrol.
